Under Northern's Access Premium license, faculty, staff and students have pre-clearance for copying up to 20% of individual titles in Access Copyright’s repertoire of more than 100-million published titles.
Use the link below to find your title in their repertoire, and it's permitted uses.
Generally, when a textbook is adopted for use in a course and the students enrolled in the course are required to purchase the textbook, the publisher of that textbook will give permission to make use of additional accompanying instructional materials like instructor's manuals, assignment workbooks, solutions and presentation slides. There are some exceptions where publishers will only allow certain solutions to be posted. This information will be in the textbook agreement from the publisher. If unsure contact the copyright technician at firstname.lastname@example.org for help.
You can add content to slides (text or images) but you are not allowed to remove or reproduce the content from the slides.
It is the duty of Northern College staff and faculty making reproductions in compliance with our Access Copyright Agreement to log and submit a copy of the log to the Copyright Technician three times per calendar year or for every work reproduced.
Submit logs for copies being made during the months of:
