Brightly coloured word welcome written in wood.

Hi Everybody! Welcome to a new fall term here at Northern College!

We want to start by acknowledging the lands of the Ojibway, Cree, Algonquin, and Métis Peoples that our Northern College campuses occupy. We acknowledge and appreciate the First Nations communities on these lands, including Beaverhouse, Flying Post, Wahgoshig, Taykwa Tagamou, Mattagami, Matachewan, Temagami, Timiskaming, Moose Cree, Fort Albany, Kashechewan, Attawapiskat, and Weenusk.

So what do you need to know for a new year?

  • What is my library card number and pin number to access digital resources?
    •  Your library card number is your student ID number found on your Northern College ID or your confirmation of registration. Your pin number is the last 4 digits of your ID number.
  • How do I get help from the library?
    • You can chat with library staff at the library in person, over our virtual chat at Ask the Library, or by text at 705-302-1076, or by phone or email by visiting our Contact page.
  • Do you need help with spelling and grammar?
    • Check out Grammarly, the easiest to use digital writing assistant that helps strengthen your writing and turn in mistake-free assignments. Sign up by chatting with us at Ask the Library or texting us at 705-302-1076 with your Northern College Email and a request for Grammarly.
  • What can I find at the library?
    • Books, eBooks, online videos, research databases, magazines, and study guides to help you find resources for your program and more.
  • How do I get news and information from the library?

We can't wait to see you this year, so please stop by to say hello!
